Would you ever just walk into class or program setting and ask, “Okay, what do you want to study today?” Of course not. Inquiry-based learning is founded on youth taking the lead in their own learning, but it still requires considerable planning on the part of the educator. Projects must fit into a larger program structure, goals and plans, but the youth will be actively involved in planning the projects and asking the questions that launch their individual inquiries.
The Inquiry-Based Learning Guide will introduce you to techniques and strategies for supporting inquiry in any educational setting.
