DSCN3217The YouthLearn team collaborated as organizers of the ITEST (Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers) Convening “Defining an Afterschool Research Agenda,” funded by National Science Foundation. For the convening, a collection of related resources and research were culled and reviewed that focused on STEM and Afterschool. From this scan of the literature, the following bibliography of materials was created as a reference: “Selected Research and Resources on STEM & Afterschool (PDF).”

To be included in the review, resources had to address issues that are fundamental to this inquiry into STEM learning and afterschool. Complementary resources that covered various dimensions of an issue (i.e., research related to different groups in the subtopic on engaging under‐represented groups) are also included. The selected resources include articles in peer‐reviewed journals, evaluation reports, research summaries, government‐issued reports, books, commissioned white papers, issue briefs, best practices guides, position papers, and various online publications.
